Alternative software

This was an interesting experience. The use of free software programs as word processors, spreadsheet and chart developers. From what I remember correctly from our assignment 2 presentations most of us used googledocs to be able to communicate and get the assignment developed and delivered. This is the google documents site that was used by our group for assignment 2 http://docs.google.com/ .

I found that the freeware was a little confusing at times to use, but if you did require a word processor or a way of making a document without the access to a Microsoft Office Word or similarly familiar programme, they make a good alternative.

http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~comp1900/Lectures/comp1900_wk_4_word_processing_Lec.pdf , in these lecture notes, we were doing word processing, which of course meant having a look at the freeware versions also available.
